Sunday scaries remedy

I get the Sunday scaries, like many. I don’t know how others define theirs, but mine is just that dreadful feeling of going back to work on Monday.

My kids are on spring break and we had a super fun weekend these past two days. All of that positivity crashes down for me as I think about getting laundry done, setting out my clothes for tomorrow, planning my lunch, thinking about what needs done when I get to the office, etc.

Hate it. So here are my remedies for the Sunday scaries:

  1. Remind yourself that none of this dumb shit matters at all.
  2. Eat ice cream. Don’t overdo it - that can make things worse.
  3. Drink more water. That solves EVERYTHING.
  4. Watch your favorite tv show.
  5. Jump on a trampoline if you have one. You’ll either start having fun or get hurt and have an excuse to miss work tomorrow. Win-win.
  6. Do drugs - if that’s your thing.
  7. Stretch for at least 15 minutes. Real, serious stretches. You’d be surprised how it can improve mood.
  8. Go for a drive and listen to good music. Wait, in this economy?? With these gas prices?? Oh god, now the scaries are back.
