I recently posted some code snippets for tabbed content containers that easily drop into bearblog pages/posts. I’ve had some pretty good reactions to this, and I really appreciate it!
I’ve received a few emails from folks asking for support in getting it to look correct on their blog. I have no problem helping folks out and encourage people to reach out if needed.
A couple of the emails, though, were fairly in-depth in terms of the scope of the issue and I spent time trying to debug my own code to work with their blog’s CSS. The authors went silent after this.
I asked one of the others for the link to their blog so I could pinpoint the problem and help them out ASAP…. No reply.
The internet is amazing. But it seems like it has just made some people cold. Now, I know this could be a simple case of some folks getting too busy or forgetfulness. Emails are more personal, though.
It’s incredibly rude to take the time to interact and inquire about something only to get your answer and vanish. Got what you wanted, now the other person is useless to you.
So, don’t bother contacting me if you don’t actually want to have a meaningful interaction. If you need help with CSS and nothing else, just Google it and use your big ol’ brain to figure it out. I’m not your fucking AI chat bot.
